STREET (After
Hours Cinema) 1973/74. Three movies clocking in at about 4 hours. Not
rated, but is rated X. I’m forgoing the plot summaries for this review
because, in the words of Meatballs’ Tripper Harrison, “it just
doesn’t matter.”
What we have here are three
long lost adult movies that can be described, in the words of
Caddyshack’s Carl Spackler, as the “greasy grimy gopher guts” of
grindhouse cinema. The two DVDs contain Pen Pals (directed by Forced
Entry’s Shaun Costello), Certified Mail, and Love-In
Maid. The flics include all sorts of creepy looking actors, plenty of
hair, raunchy hardcore sex, and acting sillier than most teenaged themed
television programs. Along with the movies you get pretty damn extensive,
and humorous, liner notes. Pure magnificence for the lover of dirty
grindhouse fare that’ll make you want to wax a body area or two. –
